Adapters
Your room is supplied by an electric current of 220 volt. We advise you to verify the energy voltage of your devices before connection. The French sockets have a round pin and consequently only plugs with a whole fit in. Adapters are available at the reception desk.
Air-conditioning/ heating
The individual air-conditioning system of the Citizen is cold in winter and warm in summer. You can adjust the intensity of it with the button located close to the door of your room. For more information, don’t hesitate to contact the reception.
Airline Companies
The reception team is at your disposal for assistance concerning reservations of flights, confirmations and the organization of transfers.
Transportation to the airports
Paris has two international airports:
- Roissy-Charles de Gaulle, situated in the north 25 km outside of Paris, by motorway A1, journey from the hotel: 40 minutes, RER B, shuttle service « Roissybus » from metro station « Opéra », Bus 350 from Gare de l’Est (East Station), Bus 351 from Place de la Nation, Busses Air France line 2 from Place de l’Etoile and Porte Maillot, and line 4 from Gare de Lyon and Gare Montparnasse.
- Orly, situated in the South 14 km outside of Paris by motorway A6, journey from the hotel : 30 minutes, RER C (Bus « Paris par le train » until station « Pont de Rungis »), RER B (shuttle « Orlyval » until station « Anthony », shuttle « Orlybus » from place Denfert-Rochereau, Bus 183 from Porte de Choisy, Busses Air France line 1 from metro station Gare Montparnasse, Invalides and Etoile.
Animals
Please note that animals are forbidden in our Hotel.
Baby-sitting
If you need a babysitter you can go to the reception who will find a reliable professional for you.
Baby
For your child the following items are, by request, at your disposal at the reception: cot, baby’s bottle warmer and other accessories. For safety reasons, if you have to leave your room for a short moment while your child will stay in the room, please inform the reception.
Bath linen
We are pleased to put several bath articles at your disposal during your stay in our hotel. If you would like to buy some of them, in particular the bath linen; the reception can indicate you the prices of these products.
The Citizen Hotel wants to be a green hotel and wishes to limit to the maximum its impact on the environment; in particular we pay attention to water management and our cleaning products. That’s why we won’t clean the towels that are hung up. If you want to have clean towels, leave them on the floor and we will change them. In the same manner, unless they are visibly dirty, your towels won’t be changed if you don’t ask the reception or the cleaning lady to do so.
Bedding
The mattresses of the Citizen are of top quality: high quality sprung mattresses.
Breakfast
The Citizen Lounge welcomes you every day from 7h30 a.m. to 10h30 a.m. to offer you a large choice of different breakfasts, composed with quality products chosen with care. Consult our offer HERE

We’re able to offer you several possibilities of car-hire with or without driver.

In accordance with new regulations in force in France at this moment, we remind you that the rooms as well as public areas are non smoking areas.

The Citizen Hotel accepts the most credit cards: bank cards, VISA, Eurocard/Mastercard, American Express. These cards are accepted subject to a preliminary; authorization of your paying authority. For more help, please contact the reception.
Departure
The day of your departure your room will be at your disposal until midday (12h) ; so that we are able to prepare it for future guests. If you desire to keep your room longer, please contact the reception. We will do our best to satisfy your demand depending on our availability. In case of modification of your departure date; please inform the reception 24 hours in advance.
Doctor/dentist/nurse
If you would like to consult a doctor ; dentist or nurse, contact the reception.
Do not disturb
If you wish not to be disturbed, please hang the magnet made for this outside your room on the metallic part of your door.
If you wish not to take phone calls you can inform the reception about it.

You can consult your e-mails on the iPad that is at your disposal, either on your personal computer, connected with the Internet by means of wifi (codes available for free at the reception) or by means of the socket situated at the level of your desk. Don’t hesitate to contact the reception if you need any technical assistance.
Fire
In the case that you notice smoke or an abnormal or unusual smell; please call the reception and precise the exact place of the incident.
- Evacuate the hotel immediately after the hearing of the alarm signal ; or on order of the Citizen staff
- Move carefully
- Touch the doors and their handles with the palm of your hand, if they seem to be abnormally warm, don’t open them, if the door and the handle aren’t warm ; open them with precaution, but be prepared to close it again if necessary.
- In case of dense smoke, protect your airways with a wet (piece of) cloth, and move forward the closest as possible to the ground,
- Go to the emergency exit the closest to you,
- Don’t take the elevator,
- If the emergency exit is blocked, return to your room,
- If you stay in your room, put a wet piece of cloth under the door,
- Stay calm.
Flowers
Don’t hesitate to contact the reception for any order or consignment of flowers.
Hairdryer
A hairdryer is at your disposal in the cupboard of your bathroom.

To order ice cubes, please contact the reception.

Internet / Wifi
Internet access is free and can be obtained by means of the socket in the wall situated next to your desk ; or by means of the WIFI cover. In both cases you’ll need a code, available at the reception. Internet access is direct from the iPad in your room.
iPad
The Citizen Hotel makes Apple iPads available for their clients on simple request at the reception. In this way you can surf on the Internet, read your e-mails, listen to music, read your favorite daily paper every morning, prepare your visits of the next day with the access to different guides downloaded on the iPad; or to our favorite spots on the canal, that you’ll also find on the site of the Citizen.
Lost or forgotten items
Because our care for discretion le Citizen will never contact you if you’ll forget something during your departure. However, we will conserve lost or forgotten items under your name during one year and one day.

It’s our pleasure to look after your baggage once you checked-out, and this until your real departure from the Citizen.

Personal Cheques
Personal cheques are only accepted with prior agreement of the direction. (48 hours in advance, working day).
Laundry facilities
If you need to wash your clothes, you will find a special plastic bag in the wardrobe of your room. You just have to fill out the form inside and to leave your bag at the recpetion before 11:30 am. We work with a laundry service, your clothes will be cleaning and ironing few hours later.

Our team can assist you when you should need to print documents; copy them, or send them by fax.

Safe / personal possessions of value
Items of value must not be left in the room. A safe is at your disposal in the cupboard of your room for reception of items of high value. You can choose your own secret code to have access to the safe. You’ll find all the details of it’s functioning on the front of the safe. Objects left in this safe are at your responsibility.
Shoes
There’s shoe polish in your wardrobe. If you want to, the night guard can take care of the cleaning of your shoes. To use this service, please leave them at the reception. This service costs 10 €.

- La Gare de Lyon, connexions with the South-East of France, Switzerland, Italy, accessible with metro lines 1 and 14, RER A and D, situated 10 minutes from the hotel by car
- Gare Montparnasse, connexions with the West and the South-West of France,metro station Montparnasse-Bienvenüe lines 4, 6, 12 et 13, situated 20 minutes from the hotel by car

The time that is indicated for the journey between the hotel and the railway station is calculated for a normal situation of quiet traffic. When there’s a lot of traffic you should anticipate and count on a longer journey.
