If you love a great hipster hotel in the best hipster area of Paris, this place is for you. My boyfriend and I had a perfect stay here in a larger room with view right on the Canal St. Martin. We loved the room, the staff, the breakfast, and the location. Room was cozy with extra large bed and nice touches like a bookshelf and desk. Breakfast and coffee downstairs were delicious. Staff was extremely helpful with recommendations. The neighborhood was the best part, full of unique little coffee shops and wine bars. I would definitely stay here again. We didn't have a problem with street noise, but it is a busy street and great for people watching. Helen, tripadvisor.com January 2020
Le Citizen is a great spot on Canal Saint-Martin! With a café on the ground floor and styled rooms above, it's a welcoming place to call home during a stay in Paris. The location is great for exploring the 10e, 19e, 3e, and 11e— all of which have a fun, artistic, and cultural scene reflected in the atmosphere of Le Citizen. The staff at the hotel was great too, really personalizing the stay. Andrew, tablet.com November 2019
This is our second time staying at Le Citizen hotel and once again we had a perfect time. We met some of the new staff and they were all wonderful, friendly and attentive. We received excellent recommendations of things to see and do during our time in Paris. When we landed it was my Birthday and the staff helped my husband arrange for a beautiful bouquet of flowers to be placed in the room. The staff also provided a lovely bottle of champagne with a personalized note. It was wonderful. During our stay there was a special menu developed in collaboration with "The Hood." The food options were unique and delicious. The grilled octopus was my favourite. Breakfast is included in the room rate and includes coffee, pastries, juices, farm fresh eggs, toast, yogurt, homemade granola etc. Plenty of delicious options. The location is close to major train lines, making transportation very easy. The neighbourhood is wonderful and full of unique shops and dining options. Our room was always cleaned with care. I also recommend stopping at the bar for a drink in the evening, the beer and wine options are excellent and carefully curated. On our second last day the staff was thoughtful and informed us of a metro strike planned for the next day and reserved a taxi for us. I am so happy they did! We had a cab and arrived at the airport without issue. Again, the staff is so wonderful! We were sorry to leave and sorry to miss saying goodbye to Sophie, but we will return! A bientot. I chose this hotel based on proximity to friends living in the area, and I certainly lucked out for my 3 night stay. Le Citizen is a real gem. The room (La Grande) was beautifully designed, well curated, very clean, and exceptionally comfortable. Spacious for one person, perfect for 2. Breakfast was quick and delicious - even on a rainy morning, it was charming to people-watch over coffee from a cozy window seat. The staff (especially Chaim) was polite and unerringly helpful. From restaurant and art recommendations to bag and taxi service, everything was spot on. Only one call out for anyone with a full head of hair: you'll want to bring your own hair dyer (with appropriate voltage and adaptors if traveling from the states) vs. using the one provided. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you Le Citizen! Cait, tripadvisor.com October 2019
Le Citizen is a magnificent hotel in an edgy neighborhood. It is bright, clean and extremely user friendly. The staff, Marvin, Lauren, chef Adelie, Chaim and the rest are the best, most accommodating, efficient friendly group we have met in our extensive travels. Owner Sophie is available and present. The food in the bar restaurant is as good as fancy French restaurants, We couldn't rate this hotel and restaurant any higher. Jim, tripadvisor.com December 2019
